Introduction

This document describes the structure of website Pages. It guides the user on how to utilize the Pages module, how to create Pages and Subpages, what types they include, and how to use them in different scenarios. Also, it characterizes the settings of the Pages.

Overview

To start, press the Visual Editor Mode Switcher on the left side of the Top Panel and land on the Page: Homepage. Afterward, click on the Page: Homepage and access the Pop-Up .

This unit comprises:

  • Pages

  • Collections - accumulates relevant data and applies it on different pages via binding.

  • Ecommerce - redirects you to Ecommerce templates, such as Physical Product, Category, Empty Cart, etc.

  • Search Bar - enables choosing between the multiple pages already created on your website in the Pages section.

  • Main

  • System

  • Page1 - a sample button that redirects you to the given page.

  • Homepage - redirects you to your homepage.

  • Open Pages - redirects you to a separate page with all the features available to modify or create pages.

Pages

The Pages module handles the navigation on your website. It involves the following categories:

Main Pages

The Main Pages are the core of the website structure. Once created or modified, they display on the website navigation bar (Menu widget).

This unit comprises:

  • Language Switcher - enables making changes for each existing language on your website.
  • Search Bar - searches for pages.
  • Sort by - sorts the pages by relevant statuses.
  • List Type Layout Preview - displays the pages in list view mode.
  • Grid Type Layout Preview - displays the pages in grid view mode.
  • New Page - creates new pages.

How to Create a New Page

To create a blank page within List Type Layout Preview, press the New Page on the top right corner and choose between a Blank Page or available Page Templates options:

If you choose the Blank Page, you will access the Navigator on the right side with all the necessary information to create the basic structure of the page.

This unit comprises:

  • Title - indicates the page title.

  • URL - the alias is generated automatically from the title name; nevertheless, it is modifiable.

  • Navigation Mode (Header, Footer) - key elements of a website containing URLs to essential pages on your website that potential customers often visit before making a purchase or inquiry.

  • Sidebar - specifies the positioning of the sidebar.

  • Layout Preview - illustrates the layout structure performed through the modifications mentioned above.

  • Publish - displays the changes you have made to the users.

  • Save - saves the page.

  • Cancel - cancels the action.

After filling in all the necessary configurations, click on the Save .

Select the Pages Templates and access the Navigator on the top right corner:

Choose a template in your preference and press the Select on the center of the template.

Edit/delete the template through the Dotted Menu:

After selecting a template, fill in the necessary configurations and press the Save .

If the Page Templates section is empty, press the Save as Template feature in the Dotted Menu to create one.

To create a page in the Grid Type Layout Preview, press the + Sign on the left or right of the Page icon (the order is displayed in the menu).

To create a Subpage under the selected page, use the + Sign at the bottom:

You can have up to three levels of subpages.

The subpages and the route page are displayed as follows:

How to Operate with the Existing Pages?

To manage an existing page, access the Dotted Menu in the List and Grid Layout Previews by hovering over the website page, selecting a page, and pressing its Dotted Menu :

This unit comprises:

  • Preview - displays your page design.
  • Settings
  • Move to - moves the page location.
  • Save as Template - saves the page as a template:

Settings

Reach the Page Settings section to handle all the page settings and optimize the web pages in one place. To thoroughly configure your pages, use the following subsections of the Settings section:

General

After completing all the other subsections of the page settings, you can customize several parameters under the General Settings:

  • Name - displays the name of the page you have chosen to apply in the menu.
  • URL - generates the URL of the page.
  • Visibility - indicates whether your page is accessible for everyone (Public) or authenticated users only.
  • Home Page - this makes your selected page a Home Page.
  • Publish - publishes the page.

You cannot turn off the switcher unless setting another page as the Home Page. Specifying a Home Page converts the default page to a regular Main Page.

When choosing to publish your page, you will notice a green dot on the page's menu, indicating that your page is available to website visitors.

SEO

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a set of practices to improve your website's visibility in the search engines such as Google or Bing. To get more information about SEO, check the source here.

This unit comprises:

  • Title - the title tag is a piece of HTML that tells users and search engines the name of an article or piece of content.

Keep your SEO Title in the optimal length (around 65 characters) to comply with Google's criteria. The search results do not display longer text. Check out here for more information on SEO Title.

  • Meta Description - the page description has a length limitation, and it must not be longer than 165 characters to be fully displayed. Learn more about Meta Description here.

Turning on the Include in Sitemap setting will involve the URLs of your pages in your XML Sitemap. If this setting is off, the search engines cannot share the information mentioned above with potential website visitors.

  • Robots Tag - the meta robots inform search engines which page to crawl. Find out more about the Robots tag here.

This unit comprises:

  • Index - conducts a search engine to index a page.

  • Noindex - conducts a search engine not to index a page.

  • Follow - conducts a crawler to follow all the links and pass equity to the linked pages even if the page is not indexed.

  • Nofollow - conducts a crawler not to follow any links on a page or pass along any link equity.

  • Schema Markup - this enables you to improve your website's ranking on search engine result pages. Learn more about Schema Markup here. The available data markup is as follows:

Social

Inspect if your titles and descriptions include the essential information about your website without exceeding the characters' limits. As well as ensure that each page has a unique title, image, and description:

Security

Manage the security of your pages through the following subsections:

  • Password Protection - configures password protection for your pages.

  • Password - sets a password and enables password protection.

System Pages

The System Pages display in case of an error occurrence.

The following System Pages are available:

404 Page

The 404 Page alerts the visitor that the page they are trying to reach no longer exists. For instance, if the domain assigned to the default language is deleted, the website visitor is redirected to a 404 error page.

Sign In Required Page

The Sign In Required Page displays an empty login page.

Sign Up Page

The Sign Up Page displays the registration page for the end users.

My Account Page

The My Account Page presents the profile page of the user.

Offline Page

The Offline Page sets your website offline for the users in the Dashboard.

Password Protected Page

The Password Protected Page enables the creation of protected areas through passwords.

Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions generate the terms and conditions of your page.

Privacy Policy Pages

The Privacy Policy Pages state how the website collects, handles, and processes customer data.

Cookie Policy Page

The Cookie Policy Page informs customers that you use cookies on your website. Also, it includes information about the existing cookie types and guides the customers on how to control them on their devices.
